ACCOMMODATIONS

All rooms at the Indiana Memorial Union Biddle Hotel have been booked for the weekend of the conference. We have secured rooms at two nearby locations, the Grant Street Inn and The Graduate Hotel.  We also recommend a few other downtown hotels. 

 

The Grant Street Inn, a Bed and Breakfast Inn located at 310 N Grant Street, ten minutes away from the Indiana Memorial Union, has set aside several Queen and King rooms. Rooms with Queen beds are available for the nights of November 8, 9, 10, and 11. Rates for the evenings of November 8 and 9 are $103.20 plus tax and rates for the evenings of November 10 and 11 are $119.20 plus tax. Rooms with King beds are available for the nights of November 8, 9, and 10. These rooms will be billed at $111.20 plus tax for the evenings of the 8th and the 9th and at $127.20 plus tax for the evening of the 10th. Ten rooms—five queen and five king—are also available at the  Graduate Hotel, on Kirkwood Avenue, just ten minutes away from the IMU.  These rooms are billed at the following pre-tax rates: $119 for November 8, $149 for November 9, $279 for November 10, and $349 for November 11. Please call the hotel at 812-994-0500 and make reference to the North American Victorian Association (NAVSA) Annual Meeting. These rooms are held until October 9, 2023.  

 

We also recommend the Hyatt Place Bloomington and the Hilton Garden Inn Bloomington, which are both located downtown on the Courthouse Square, a fifteen-minute walk from the Indiana Memorial Union.  Finally, there are many Airbnb rentals located in the vicinity of IU for those who prefer that option or wish to share.
